Fernando the Great

Fernando, age 9, truely is going to be great. He's youngest in our class, but that doesn't stop him from fearlessly pronouncing English sentences or actively participating with the rest of the class. He's often protected by Yoselina and Susy, his older cousins, but I can tell that he doesn't need it. So watch out World, Fernando is on the loose and ready to see all that there is to offer. First stop Montana.

Missoula, Montana:

Fernando's first stop to my hometown has come and gone. It was a short trip, but he got to see and do a lot while he was there. While he loved all the sights, I'm sure his favorite was the Missoula Carousel and the giant Dragon's Hallow Playground. This is something he definitely does not have here in Yuracoto.

My puppy Max printed Fernando's picture off to help announce his arrival.

Again, Fernando fears nothing... not even avalanches.

He was a natural on skis... even though it was his first time seeing snow.

This was his last picture before heading off to Great Falls, MT.

Great Falls, Montana:
Fernando, a huge American/Montana History buff, took advantage of a quick weekend in Great Falls to see some of the sights and experience a little bit of the local culture. He spent most of his time at the impressive Lewis and Clark Cultural Center, but then also found time to attend a local mass and school. What a cultured traveler!

Bozeman, Montana:
After Great Falls, Fernando headed to southwestern Montana to do what anyone would do when in that neck of the woods: fly fish and go to Yellowstone National Park. I think we found a place where he really fits in... We already know he's a natural skier, but now we also know he's a natural with the fly rod too.

Fernando would just like to remind all of his fellow travelers to buckle up for safety.

Fernando watches some bison safely from the car. He may have lost his hands in that last bear fight.

What are they bittin' on? The end of Fernando's line. Must of been using a bunyan bug.

Thanks Nancy for taking Fernando to the 4th longest river in the World, the Mississippi!
